Parade Registration

Participants in the parade have the opportunity to showcase their creativity and holiday spirit by decorating their floats with lights and festive decorations. Those interested in participating in the parade must fill out a registration form, which can be found by clicking on the graphic below. Additionally, participants who want to compete in the ‘float competition’ must also submit a $10 entry fee to City Hall. This fee helps support the cost of organizing the parade and provides participants the chance to win prizes for their outstanding float designs. Don’t miss out on the chance to be a part of this magical holiday tradition!

The City Hall parking lot will be home to a Registration Table on Saturday morning until 4:00pm, offering a convenient opportunity for anyone interested in joining the parade or participating in the float competition. Whether you’re a community group, organization, or individual looking to be a part of the festivities, simply stop by the table to sign up and secure your spot in the lineup. This is a great chance for newcomers and veterans alike to showcase their creativity and spirit in a fun and lively event.

Judging for floats at the Pikeville parade will commence at 4:30 pm, with the prestigious Pam McBay Award going to the best overall float, sponsored by the City of Pikeville. In addition to this top honor, 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place awards will also be bestowed in each of the following categories: Business/Industry (sponsored by the Chamber of Commerce), Church (sponsored by Crye-Leike Brown Reality), School/Club (sponsored by Attorney Ed Boring & Family), Horse/Mule Drawn (sponsored by Morris Brothers), Family (sponsored by Sell’s Building Supply) and Antique/Classic Cars (sponsored by Mayor Cagle).
