Pikeville Little Sprouts is a program designed to inspire children to explore new and healthy foods—all while having fun! At each Little Sprouts event, kids get the chance to taste a fruit and a vegetable they may have never tried before. After sampling, they dive into a themed craft activity connected to the featured produce, sparking creativity and hands-on learning. Each child also receives a recipe featuring the fruit or vegetable they tasted, so families can continue the adventure at home.
As a bonus, every participant is given a $5 voucher to spend with any vendor at the Farmers Market, encouraging them to discover even more fresh, local foods. Pikeville Little Sprouts offers a joyful and educational experience that promotes healthy eating habits, creativity, and community support—all while helping our youngest residents grow into confident, curious eaters. 🍓🥦🌽🍊
