Pikeville’s 29th Annual Christmas Parade promises to be a dazzling celebration of music, lights, and holiday cheer. This year’s theme—Sounds of Christmas—invites spectators to experience the magic of the season through festive melodies, illuminated floats, and joyful performances. As the parade winds down Main Street, the town transforms into a winter wonderland, filled with twinkling lights, glittering costumes, and the unmistakable spirit of Christmas. Whether you’re watching with family or participating in the lineup, this beloved tradition is sure to delight all ages.

📝 Parade Registration

 Want to be part of the magic? Parade participants are invited to showcase their creativity and holiday spirit by decorating floats with lights, music, and festive flair. To join the parade, simply complete the registration form HERE.

Those wishing to enter the float competition must also submit a $10 entry fee at City Hall, made payable to the Main Street Committee. This fee helps support event logistics and gives participants the chance to win prizes for outstanding designs.

On Saturday morning, a Registration Table will be set up in the City Hall parking lot until 4:00 PM. Whether you’re a community group, organization, or individual, stop by to sign up and secure your spot in the lineup. It’s a wonderful opportunity for newcomers and longtime participants alike to share their creativity and holiday joy.

🎖️ Float Competition Details

Float judging begins at 4:30 PM. The coveted Pam McBay Award, sponsored by the City of Pikeville, will be presented to the best overall float. Additional awards will be given for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place in the following categories:

  • Church (Crye-Leike Brown Realty)
  • School/Club (Attorney Ed Boring & Family)
  • Horse/Mule Drawn (Morris Brothers)
  • Family (Sells Building Supply)
