Street Closure

On Saturday, June 3rd, Main Street from Cranwell Street to Gill Street will be closed to thru-traffic, from 4pm until 8pm.  The area will be open for pedestrain traffic only.  Pikeville will be hosting the Cruise-Into Pikeville and Live Music.

Memorial Day Closure

All City of Pikeville offices and departments will be closed on Monday, May 29, 2023, in observance of the Memorial Day holiday.  All business will resume on Tuesday, May 30th during regular business hours.

Pikeville Summer Nights

Our next Pikeville Summer Nights will be held June 3rd on Main Street.  Activities will start at 12:30pm on the Courthouse lawn.  Our Farmers Market will be open Friday 9am-1pm, and Saturday 9am-2pm, underneath the pavilion.  The Cruise Into Pikeville begins at 4:00 PM with classic cars lining Main Street.  Live Music, featuring Rex and The Ramblers, will begin at 5:00 PM.

Pikeville Wall Mural

A new Pikeville Wall Mural began to take shape on Wednesday, May 3rd.  A 40-foot wall in downtown Pikeville, beside the Main Street Stage, is in the process of a colorful makeover. It’s a celebration of the small-town charm of Pikeville, Tennessee.  The original artwork was hand-sketched by Nancy May.

Street Closure

Pikeville Summer Nights

Pikeville Summer Nights begins Saturday, May 6th on Main Street.  Activities will start at 12:30pm on the Courthouse lawn.  Our Farmers Market will be open Friday (May 5th) 9am-1pm, and Saturday (May 6th) 9am-2pm, underneath the pavilion.  The Bledsoe AWARE Walk begins at 4pm, and our first Cruise Into Pikeville, this season, along with Live Music, presented by Borrowed Mule, begins 5pm.

Mental Health Month

Mental Health Month raises awareness of trauma and the impact ic can have on the physical, emotional, and mental well-being of children, families, and communities.  Mental Health Month was established in 1949 to increase awareness of the importance of mental health and wellness in Americans’ lives, and to celebrate recovery from mental illness.

Siren Testing

The new Siren Warning System is now installed and working.  It will be tested on a regular basis, one time each month.  The testing day will be the first Friday of each month, at 12pm (noon).  If there is inclement weather on that particular Friday, the testing day will be moved to the following Monday.

Wishing for a White Christmas – The Bledsonian-Banner

Those who wished for a white Christmas got their dream fulfilled December 25.  A blanket of snow fell in Bledsoe County but with it came several days of single digit temperatures, frozen pipes, and windchill below zero.  Extra precautions had to be taken to protect outdoor animals.

Light up, Pikeville! ~ Tennessee Magazine

Last Christmas the city of Pikeville’s “Light up Pikeville” project transformed the downtown area into a winter wonderland, a “Hallmark Movie” inspired town here in the Sequatchie Valley.
