As the stars and strips wave proudly in the night sky, Pikeville hosts the Star Spangled Celebration for the 4th of July.  This patriotic event is kicks off with fun filled activities throughout the day for children of all ages. From tug-a-war, face-painting, to eating watermelon, the day is filled with music and entertainment. Children run around with sparklers, their faces glowing with excitement as they wait for the main event – the fireworks show!

As the sun sets and the night sky darkens, the anticipation builds as the first boom of a firework echoes through the air.
